Thanks for that. It reminded me that I still had the official gentoo package installed in /usr (which I have now uninstalled). But it does look like /usr/local/lib/sflphone/sflphoned correctly gets started. Obviously, the KDE client starting the 1.0.1 daemon (which I forgot I had installed) did not work too well (segmentation faults). :) Sorry again about my stupid mistakes. I have a few other thoughts and questions. In the bottom of the main call window, there is some text (light gray on white within a white on light gray area) that I can't read (not enough contrast). What does it say? The current account drop down box needs to be a little bit wider (it cuts of the name of the account) - enough to display say twelve letters. In the "IP2IP" account, the ringtone "Use custom file" checkbox is checked, with the file pointing to /usr/share/sflphone/ringtones/konga.ul (instead of /usr/local). In the audio configuration page, the Sound manager drop down box allows for PulseAudio, even though I configured the sflphone daemon without it. (I assume that won't work, but I don't think it should even be offered). In the display configuration page, I keep checking ALL of: Display Call Number Display Codec Display Icon Display Peer Name Display Security Display department Display e-mail Display organisation But when I click OK, and then go back, only Call Number, Icon, and Peer name are selected. > I hope it work for you, thanks for installing SFLPhone!
