Hello again, Thanks for trying the package. Here is a small tutorial to install the nightly: https://projects.savoirfairelinux.com/issues/47276#note-3
If the client work as root, then it is very, very likely to be the same issue, in that case, a patch will be incorporated into Ubuntu next week. Unfortunately it does not work still. When I open the .deb package with the q-apt deb installer there was an error about a missing dependency. Then I figured that must have something to do with the fact that the .deb package was supposed to be for the nightly builds. So I deinstalled SFLPhone using muon and added the nightly build ppa to Muon in Kubuntu 14.04. Then I reinstalled SFLPhone for KDE again, under the tab "versions", however I could not see any changes as compared to the situation before adding the ppa. The latest versions listed is 1.3.0-1ubuntu1.1 (trusty-updates). So I forced this version. Then I opened the .deb package again, this time it did not say that dependencies could not be met, it said "sfl-common" was to be installed additionally, I guess from the overnight PPA then. So I OKed that, and it installed. Then I opened up sflphone KDE again and it was frozen once again, and it crashed again. I am not sure if I did everything correct. I found a post by somebody else who got it to work with a "patch" you sent him.... I don't know if I did something wrong. I am not sure if I actually installed the overnight version... how can I know? Bye. John.
