That's pretty silly.  Distribution tarballs are often more than just the
raw code as it comes out of the source repo.  Building the tarball usually
requires more specialized tools, including specific versions of GNU make,
compilers, documentation building tools (such as latex), and so on.  If the
docs in the tarball are correct, then there's zero reason to regenerate
them.  Leave it be.
