While it's obviously your choice to work on whatever you like, my
advice would be not to spend time on libtool.  It is obsolete,
deprecated, and included only for the benefit of people working on
software that has unfortunately already incorporated it.  No new
software should use libtool, and the best thing one could do involving
it is start removing it from our various other software.
