No new components should be placed under /usr/sfw under any
circumstances.
However since readline is a GNU component as defined by
http://directory.fsf.org/GNU/
it's eligible to be placed under /usr/gnu/lib. Dermot is the one
leading the effort to get readline aggregated into OpenSolaris and so
he can comment on his thoughts about using that directory for the
interim.
