I think its as clear as it can be and still be terse and concise. Then again I may be biased. I didn't write it, but I served on the team that did and proof read way to many iterations. Perhaps some other statements were made too quickly or not given enough thought. These weren't. A lot of thought went into them. Note the *intentional* tension between the paragraphs about the similarities and differences between Solaris and OpenSolaris and the statement about enabling third-party products and distributions. Yes, the intent is to keep Solaris and OpenSolaris in sync as much as possible, but not nail it down so hard as to make customization by third-parties a daunting task. - jek3
