The best we have is filesystem(5):
/usr/share
Platform-independent sharable files. An approved instal-
lation location for bundled Solaris software.
My only point was that we are serious about "Platform-independent"
because we still officially support heterogenious diskless servers (even
though we don't provide proper tools and many pacakges are faulty in
this respect - the packages themselves - not the objects they install).
Basically, each object in /usr/share should be equally usable for, sparc,
x86, ppc, vax,... whatever.
