  It's for Mercurial.  It can run without them, but I believe RCS's
  merge is used if available (for conflicts).

  Links, but with the 'g'-prefixed name in /usr/share/man.  Otherwise,
  the economics go bad.  (If someone wants to patch the synopsis to
  reflect both names, that'd be a good later fix.)
