Hi all, I'm student (intern) working Fridays only (too much of school this term) so please excuse delays of my answers. I also have to consult some things with my colleagues because I do not know answer at this time.
I do not know how is it with PSARCs (it's numbers..), will answer later. I also haven't understand what JDS is. gvim will not be there yet. Now to Danek: Thank for your check, I'll try to resolve it on Friday. I'll remove unused patches, check this about Python, Perl and others. Huge features are also good idea. Install is made when doing 'make', you can find it in Makefile. In install.sfw file there are only man pages install and so on. About man page installation: there is a problem that we do not want to install man pages at many languages (we want english only) and we want to edit them and install to other location (not the default). First idea was to install it by vim's install. Then I had to make a list of pages that I don't want and then delete them and then edit these I want to have. It was not nice. So I decided to remove installation of these that I do not want to install (the solaris_patch file) and then I just edit installed pages (and remove pages for tools that are not installed). It was not easy to make this decision - I realize that it is not much pretty, but I think that other solutions would be worse. Martina This message posted from opensolaris.org
