I think everybody should remember that not all FOSS is acceptable for 
Solaris.

One of the common reasons is that a community doesn't respect the concept of
"upward compatibility", at least below some well advertised point 
(usually at
the Major release level).

If indeed the "QT community" doesn't respect this concept, the packages 
simply
are not appropriate for Solaris.  (I don't have a clue as to if the QT 
community
respects this - I'm just reading that the possibility exists from 
Danek's question.)

Sometimes the cost of having something overwhelms the benefit of it.  Such
components should not migrate from "extra value" delivery into the actual
product.
