I can easily do that.

My (hopefully last) question on that is:

Does the "Solaris Developer Experience" come with the expectation that QT4 will 
be available in the default search paths, similar to Perl, or the C Compiler ?

In my mind, it is perfectly reasonable to have the expectation that Perl, or 
the 
C Compiler are Just There(TM), and that one shouldn't have to do anything 
special to their $PATH to find them.

But, does something specialized like QT4 fall into the same category ?

FWIW, i'm on the fence on this one. I can see arguments pro, and con as being 
equally valid. Personally, i would not consider it an "architectural design 
flaw" to have to add an extra element to my $PATH or to -I to find QT4 
components.
