My (hopefully last) question on that is: Does the "Solaris Developer Experience" come with the expectation that QT4 will be available in the default search paths, similar to Perl, or the C Compiler ? In my mind, it is perfectly reasonable to have the expectation that Perl, or the C Compiler are Just There(TM), and that one shouldn't have to do anything special to their $PATH to find them. But, does something specialized like QT4 fall into the same category ? FWIW, i'm on the fence on this one. I can see arguments pro, and con as being equally valid. Personally, i would not consider it an "architectural design flaw" to have to add an extra element to my $PATH or to -I to find QT4 components. --Stefan -- Stefan Teleman Sun Microsystems, Inc.
