I want to set up a Linux box to share my SB1000 oneway cable modem. I want to use an old 486/33DX 16MB RAM 150MB HD machine to set up as a Linux only internet sharing server and share the connection with a 4 Win95/Win98 peer to peer network. Does anyone know how to do that? The SB1000 surfboard modem is a internal card; it needs another telephone modem for dial up and for upstream transfer and the SB1000 itself takes care of the downstream transfer.
