I asked John Lombardo about this when I moved in February (maybe I
asked in March). He told me STN didn't support PPPoE at that time.
I agree it would be very useful to have, I'm going to have to use
something else once I get the second machine set up.
I'm in Ottawa and the local ADSL service also uses PPPoE. I'm
actually not using Bell Sympatico (the phone company's offering)
but an independent ISP. That said I find the ADSL much slower than
my cablemodem was and I'm going to try cable again. Of course
cable in the new location could be slower than ADSL, but there's
free installation and one month free so I see no reason not to try
it.
