Considering that most of STN is GPL/GNU and it clearly says so at the STN site. I'd say that really the only "proprietary" software contained in STN is the windows configuration interface. In this case as long as users forego the windows interface they could tweak the system to their hearts content.................. Including the "built" disk images..............this was my reason for "again" pointing out that the envi file is easily modified............ BTW: While rummaging through the directory structure of a built disk I found that both ipportfw and ipautofw are on the disk..............this would make almost any protocol usable given that some scripting knowledge was available. As to your reference to protocol 95 (or was it 94???) ipautofw should handle this transparently given that the proper ports were opened and allowed to do this autoforwarding. This STN is just another "toolbox" hardwired (windows config) to do a semi-specific job, I see no reason that adding some duct tape, more wires and maybe a booger or two to hold it all together*grin*wouldn't allow it to do just about anything one wanted 8^P signed ZooT_aLLures On Mon, 14 Aug 2000, you wrote: > >%_The point I was trying to make was that if STN was a free product I would be more >than willing to try to modify it.
