I have ShareTheNet 2.13, and am trying to make it work in the following
configuration:
ETH0 (3c509, IRQ10, mem 310)-> SpeedStream 5260 ADSL modem -> Earthlink ADSL
using PPPoE
ETH1 (3c509, IRQ5, mem 300) -> LAN
I am having the following problems:
1) Both NICs initialize, but ETH0 drops the link after a short time.
2) When I switch NICs and put the ADSL modem on ETH1, the link light stays
up, but I am uable to negotiate the DHPC lease from Earthlink
Now for the questions:
1) Is ADSL device supported on ETH0 in ShareTheNet?
2) Is PPPoE supported by STN?
3) I was given tehe following DHCP parameters by Earlink tech support:
CLASS IDENTIFIER : (BLANK)
CLIENT IDENTIFIER : (BLANK)
HOSTNAME : "midspring.com"
LEASE TIME : 0 (zero)
RFC 1541 COMPLIANCE : Y
Can anyone comment?
