More information:
The share-the-net help file says this about the "lease time" value when
programming DHCP for the upstream side:
DHCP Setup � Lease Time
Tells the ShareTheNet DHCP client how long *in hours* most IP address
leases should last. (emphasis mine)
Emperically, that seems to be incorrect - it appears to be the time IN
SECONDS that the lease should last. (sort of, maybe it is in
"jiffies"?? The value "75" generated a renew cycle every 30 - 35
seconds.) With that value blank it renews about every 18 hours.
I want to schedule a renew cycle every two to three days. (Charter's
lease is supposed to last 3 days.)
Any ideas?
