I have a similar problem, i have a ISP that requires seperate logon to get
the mail form the ISP. I cant figure out how to set authentication in
Exchange for only the mailpart. So the STN connects, my exchange server
tries to get the mail, but the ISP wont give mail because it requires logon
to the mailserver.

An other ISP that requires logon only for getting mail send to Exchange
works perfectly thru STN.

This is actualy a Exchange server question, sorry, but i was wondering if
any1 has had the problem.

Oscar.

Too easy!!!

Set up your STN with your "real" IP address on the outside interface, and
and some RFC 1918 network on your inside interface
(192.168.147.0/255.255.255.0 for example)...

THEN.. Assign 192.168.147.4/255.255.255.0 (for example) to your mail
machine.

THEN.. Go to the web-based admin on STN and select Advanced Setup ->
Configure -> Inbound Services. In the right pane select "Enabled" by
"MAIL". In the IP Address enter 192.168.147.4.

This will NAT and forward all inbound smtp connections to 192.168.147.4
while makeing them look like they're coming to and from your outside IP
address...

It works just fine here, HopeItHelps
