DHCP, let STN get your IP address
Open the builder on your PC to re-configure the disk, check the DHCP and
IDENT marks, STN will get the IP at boot time
I ran this for over 3 years, then moved and had to go with DSL.
I had to convert my STN to an LRP to support PPPoE, very easy to do, not as
user friendly as STN

I've been happily using STN for almost three years with a DSL connection
and a static IP. I might have to change to a Cable connection that uses
DHCP. The service provider would be AT&T@Home.
I don't know everything about setting up a connection like this yet, but
I'm trying to anticipate how I would re-configure STN to work with the
new setup. It looks like I need to specify that the internet connection
uses DHCP, and then an additional frame shows up in the STN setup that
asks for the following.
Class Identifier:
Client Identifier:
Host Name:
Lease Time:
RFC 1541 Compliance (Y/N)
I know I'll have to put in the Host Name that AT&T supplies, but what are
the others, and do I need them at all?

P.S. An upgraded STN that requires a harddisk would be OK and greatly
