You beat me to it!
Are you using STN's DNS? (or perhaps another machine is sending out DNS
requests)
John is right - some software (sneak-ware or spy-ware as you choose) -
sends out "status reports" - especially some of the annoying pop-ups.
Also - if you are using a "free" internet connection - their client side
driver can send out frequent packets.
What happens if all computers are turned off xcpt STN box?
John's suggestion - unplug the beastie and see what happens, is also
good.
