Sharity does work with NT workstation.

What you get is a refused connection from Netbios, not the underlying TCP.  
You should not give an IP-address directly to cifsmount. Sharity uses the  
name given here as a Netbios destination name and Netbios does not accept IP  
addresses for host names. If the machine can't be resolved via DNS, either  
add it to /etc/hosts or use the option '-I 192.168.0.47' to cifsmount.
