thanks for all the input we have received on the topic so far!
We now have a debug version of Sharity.app for Mac OS X which should fix the
startup crash. If you want to try it:
http://at.obdev.at/products/sharity/download.html
in the Mac OS X section "Other files" choose "Sharity-Debug-1-MacOSX.app".
