Under /CIFS/Entire_Network/MyNetwork

it is blank..

I have had cause to look in there before so didn't realise it wasn't
working...

Is this a case of simply editing the Sharity.cfg file to contain the domain
or is there more to it??

We are not aware of such a problem. Especially the period (".") is a 
character which is part of almost every file. We would have received 
MANY complaints if there were a problem with files containing this 
character.

I don't know how your backup script works, but if you go through the 
browser in /CIFS, there is a symbolic link involved. Can this make a 
difference?
