Sep 15, '10 6:58 PM for everyone A portion of Jannatul Baquie now. Graves of Ahlebait ( a s ) 17 th of September 1925 marks the date on which the Saudi Kings who were guided by Abdul wahab , the cleric who started the cult of wahabism, started the demolition of the sacred mazars built over the graves of his Ahlebait (a s) on the pretext that Islam do not allow any construction on the graves . Majority of Ahle Sunnah and all Shias believe that paying respect at the graves of holy personalities is allowed as well as an act of obtaining favours from Allah and a sacred deed of rememberance who all attained Shahadah . A demonstration is also planned at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in U S A on the anniversary that is 17th of September 2010 to protest against the demolition and appeal for the restoration of these sacred sites . I have also initiated a mass compaign requesting the Unesco authories to declare these places as "World Heritage Sites" May Allah fulfill our ambition to see these sacred sites in full glory sooner than later. The mazaar shown above was on the grave of Hazrat Ameer Hamzah (a s ) who attained martyrdom in the Battle of Ohud defending Islam along with his nephew the Prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (saaws) . On the right of the place called Jannatul Baquie , is the Masjid e Nabvi where Rasool e Akram (saaws) is interned in a grand building and was some how spared demolition then.
