You are problably right, although this is nothing new in 0.3.3

I have discussed the packaging issue today with some Debian developers
and I intend to try to make it the default to use Xdummy on
distributions that ship sufficiently recent X11 packages.
Probably not before v0.5 though, as v0.4.0 is almost ready.

I don't think that was the case on 0.3.2 (I might be mistaken).
