hi.

the bluetooth interface provides two connection-state events to an application, connectionMade and connectionClosed.

managing the particulars of these two states is up to the application, and whether it operates the bluetooth module in slave (laptop controls the connection) or master (shimmer controls the connection) mode.

Hi all,

I want to know if it's possible for the Shimmer module to sense whether
a bluetooth device (laptop/smarthphone) is in it's range.
The shimmer would connect with the laptop, go away for a little while,
and when it comes back it detects it is in range of the laptop again,
and starts "dumping" its logged data to the laptop.

To save battery, i would like to improve this by sensing once every ...
minute. But that's only when the previously mentioned application is
possible of course.

Thank you
