We just released version 1.0.0 of the WSO2 Gadget Server, an Open Source
project based on Apache Shindig and the Google Gadgets Specification. The
WSO2 Gadget Server is a portal based on the Gadget concept, with full
personalization and management capabilities. It is also licensed under the
Apache Software License v2 and developed using the same open development
model as Apache uses.
We would like to thank the Apache Shindig community for all your efforts
around Gadgets and OpenSocial. We believe strongly that
Gadgets are the future of portals!
As a portal product, the WSO2 Gadget Server is ideal for building:
- Executive Dashboards
- Customer Portals
- Internal customized homepages
- Content aggregation sites
- User interfaces to any SOA application and many more applications
