Hi;

A couple of things. I have a borrowed 350 cc, 10.5 driver in my possession. You may recall I mentioned that I hit a larger version of a Cobra last week. It was shafted with the stiffest feeling "R" flex Grafalloy shaft I've ever used. Tom Wishon answered the question as to why that particular shaft was apparently stiffer than one would expect. The club I'm about to test is shafted with an "especially made for Cobra by Aldila" R flex, 60 gram shaft. It too is stiff as a board. I can't disassemble the club to test the individual components but I will freq it, weigh it, and by weighing similar components - grip, tape, ferrule, etc., try to come up with separate weights and thus reasons why this shaft is as firm as it seems to be. I'll do this simply because I'm curious. I imagine someone out there may be equally curious so I'll report on the results. Its raining like hell here so there's nothing else to do.

Second. I build a club last Thursday. A component 360 cc, 10 1/2 head with a TT Rocket shaft. I left the plastic wrap on the head. I was hitting a few shots with it on the range last Friday. I didn't like it. It didn't feel right to me. Didn't fit my "swing profile" I guess. A guy was watching me. He wanted to hit a few balls. I let him. He hit 4 balls. He asked if I'd sell it. "Hell yeah," I said. He asked how much. I asked what did he think it was worth. "$100?" he responded. "Yep," I said. I had a total of about $52 invested. What a country, What a game!
