TFlan,   Since I'm not making a business of clubmaking, that's the way I sell clubs all the time...testing one or another. Some guy next to me watches for awhile and says, "Can I try that?"  Then, when I get tired practicing, I'll watch some of the others there struggling to hit their clubs, and if the club I have looks like it might be an improvement, I'll say, "Here, try this." Almost never get any turn-downs...every old fart player I know likes to try new drivers in particular...hoping for a miracle, I guess. Of course, I play with almost all my customers at one time or another, so when I have something any of them might be interested in, I'll hand it to them at the range. The range is there. I pay for "the use of their facility" each and every month via monthly. And, I didn't "hustle" the guy. He tried it, he wanted it, he bought it. I didn't go there with the intention of selling the club. I simply wanted to test it. This wasn't the first time a golfer has bought clubs from me. I don't and wouldn't offer them for sale. There's no sign on my bag like the sign I had on my business building. But if a guy wants to buy a club or a bag or a whatever, why not?   Hell, if a guy wanted to buy a club from you I have no doubt you'd sell it poste haste if the price was right, no matter what the venue was.
