Dear Dr.
Voo:
My sincere apologize
for your experience on the yellow color. If the striper shaft
performed well for you, try a couple more again. I am certain that you will be
happy about the result. In case, any shoptalk member does not know
we do take special instruction free of charge from club makers in
general. What this means is you can tell our sales rep what specific
frequency that you want or any particularities that you expect and we
will have an experience staff to pick the shafts for
your.
In response to you
question about the consistency in flex, one of the big project that we have been
working on diligently is our new Spineless Technology. I has revealed
information on this new development to some shoptalk members
but not to all members, because we want to make sure that we have worked
out all the problems before we say anything.
Spine has been a
topic of frequent discussion among Shoptalk members. Naturally, from
our end we feel strongly that the only way to address this issue once and
for all is to make sure the shaft do not have a prominent spine. At this
time, I feel confident to share with you that shafts that are coming out of
our facility in California now no longer have any prominent
spine. In fact, we are in the process of intensively recertifying all
Harrison shaft models to make all of them spineless.
We expect by August
we will complete the recertification project. However, do bear in mind
that we do have shafts in our inventory that are not spineless. It
will take us a period of time to turn over our entire inventory to
spineless only.
I can also
share with you that most of our Titanium series shafts are almost all
spineless now. If you should choose to order one, just tell our
sales staff that you only want the spineless one. Our sales staff
will issue a special order and a spineless shaft will be picked form the
inventory for you.
Naturally, once we
address the spine issue the flex consistency issue goes away.
Regarding the free
samples, we will be including sample of the new 41" Harrison Premier
Lite 85. At 5 iron length, it weighs only 85 gram. It also have uniform
steps. Premier Lite 85 is the lightest steel shaft in the market
today. It is also the only unistep ultra lite steel shaft in the market
today. The initial batch will be at 41". Subsequently, they will be lengthened
to 43".
We are running a
little bit behind on the production of Premier Lit 85. That is why we have not
send out the samples yet. My apology.
If you have any
comment about Harrison shaft, I am only one email away. Please feel free to
share with me. We may not be able to address all the issues that you raise
immediately, but we do hear you. If the point you raised make good
sense, sooner or later we will do something about it. Spine issue is
just one example.
Sincerely,
Mike

Wheels of "Free Stuff" truck are slow to
turn. They got them all loaded to go and snow hit the parking lot and
crashed the warehouse roof in!!! Not really...
Same here, but I expected not to as I had problems
with a Striper shaft that were unresolved and Mike never had any solutions for
me. Guess he doesn't want clubfitters with a little knowledge and a
history of reporting problems getting ahold of his new stuff to check out.
I only tried the Harrison because of the cosmetics and their advertisements, and
was disappointed with both. Their yellow shaft colors were not consistent
and his answer was that the color yellow is hard to control the
consistency!!! (When I went to the doctor and said it hurts when I do
that, he said "Don't do that!!") Guess if you can't make a consistent
color then don't try to use it in your product!!!!
The six shafts I paid full price for in S
and R flex were not consistent in flex and so I took back all but one and kept
it to hit. Good results, but if I have to buy 6 shafts to get one
that is right then I might go broke getting someone to buy it and build another
just like it for his buddy who hit it and likes just that one.
Anyone have similar experience with the Striper
shaft?? That is the only one I tried in yellow and blue and R and S
Flex. If the rest of the line is like that then not sure if I need to demo
anything, though I am willing to try them if they are offered for free!!!
If you don't want to reply with bad things about the Harrison line on here,
contact me in private so I can get the real story.
I would rather they have a program with clubfitters
that give 50-75% discounts on shafts that WE want to trial instead of their
latest greatest shaft that no one has experience with. If I hear
that Arnie or Bernie or "Cub" or any other fitter on here likes a shaft, I
would rather have a reduced price demo of that shaft and see if my particular
cliental would benefit from that shaft and if I could make some cash on
it.
Anyone get any response from them other than on
here from Mike??
