I used Hireko many years ago, while in Japan, but wasn't that impressed with them. Mainly because they were just too "clonish" in the dress of their components. However, I just received this year's catalog and must admit that I am impressed with their offerings. Can anyone speak to their quality as of late?
I've been favorably impressed with the price/quality ratio of Hireko heads. Granted, I don't build many sets, but what I've gotten from Hireko has always been, IMHO, worth the tariff.
Britt Lindsey savages several of Hireko's offerings in the most recent Golfworks sale flyer, calling them clones and taking some serious shots at their quality. While I think he does make a valid point or two, several of his arguments are specious, IMHO. Of course, I wouldn't expect him to embrace a competitor's wares.
Hey, Cub, wasn't it you who had a soft spot for HdM Dbl Coronas? Check out Holts.com (catalog specials).
