This is why I drape a rag over the mouth of the grip ahead of the protector tube. This catches the spray. I just squirt 2-4 trigger pulls of solvent from my old "needle gun" through a broken off needle. I have no idea of the volume of solvent I use. They were always broken when you needed it, that's what converted me to compressed air method,
