If one uses too much, it doesn't harm anything, except, that the extra
will spray out from the grip, and "all over the place", maybe even into
your eyes.
This is why I drape a rag over the mouth of the grip ahead of the protector tube. This catches the spray. I just squirt 2-4 trigger pulls of solvent from my old "needle gun" through a broken off needle. I have no idea of the volume of solvent I use. They were always broken when you needed it, that's what converted me to compressed air method,
