I'll second the Bang-O-Matic 460cc on any good 55-58 gram shaft at 47" club length. Tasteful head with eye-catching chrome fins on the rear. Excellent playing head...very long and straight, if he can learn to time his swing for the extra inches. Every extra inch is worth about 10 yards if he can do it.
The chrome will catch the eye and the club will blow the ball right on by the belittlers.
