Hi Tom and list,

is performance really such a PITA? I have maybe 50 shorewall installations in 
the wild. From simple setups up to quite complex ones. Using almost every 
feature and (im)possibilities. 
But restart performance was never an issue, neither for me nor for my 
customers.
Let it compile 30 or even more seconds, the activating is still fast enough 
and traffic is not affected during compile time. I know some commercial 
products that perform worse...
It works for me as it is. And this very well. Thanks Tom for this nice 
project.
