The same for me. But, if we want to evaluate possible solutions, I am
wondering if Firewall Builder:

could be adapted to generate Shorewall configuration files. Yes, I do know
that it can direclty generate iptables commands, but I think that it could be
useful for novice users to have the capability to create a configuration with
a GUI, and possibly fine tune it later with the config files.
