I can think of two things to try:

1 - Swap the order in which you bring up your ppp interfaces so that the
one that you want Asterisk to use is started first. Warning: that will
result in the names of the interfaces being swapped.

2 - Switch the Shorewall configuration to use USE_DEFAULT_RT=Yes.

I would try them in that order.
