would it be possible to show a tag as
a small badge somewhere on top of a picture using a previously
determined icon for that particular tag, similar to the way stars are
shown when pictures are rated. The list of keywords under a picture

may be more important than others. This "necklace of badges" should
preferably be possible to a toggle between show/hide states.
There are many uses for this. I have a specific use case as an example
for when this would be very helpful, namely to tag a picture as
"Published", which would help me know which images I have selected for
my own photo blog. Come to think of it, perhaps adding such a badge
automatically when pictures are published through Shotwell itself,
such as on facebook, would generally be helpful to many. In the case
of facebook, a small blue facebook-icon would indicate that a picture
had been sent to facebook.
Thanks for the suggestion, Andreas. Some other photo programs (e.g.
F-Spot) have this feature. I think we may as well create a ticket for
this now, so I made one:

We can discuss this idea further on that ticket. Cheers -
