I would do the following: - quit shotwell - make a backup copy of the database - physically move the photos - start shotwell - wait normally shotwell finds photos even if you move them around in the used folders. At least that is what happens with all the photos I often move around. If that does not work out, unwind: - quit shotwell - move the photos back - restore the photo db.
