Hi, I do not know of any tutorial for Vala & OE. You can look into my project ffphonelog (or ffalarms which is little bigger): see their OE recipes and/or get their git repos at http://git.shr-project.org/git/. I do not use autotools but simply a Makefile which you can look into.
