Thanks Steven,

that was indeed the problem.   I had even checked the illume settings, but
on my first search only found the 'Settings page', which seems to just
mirror the shr settings.   When I checked again I was able to find the
illume setting.

I sometimes let my 2 year old daughter play with the phone, she probably
managed to get in there by randomly clicking on stuff...
