Just to make things clear for me: Does it really turn on the phone or rather 
wake it up out of suspension?

shr-unstable, latest updates from sunday morning nz time. i've made
very few changes bar installing a few packages, i think all stuff from
the shr repos though.
ffalarms version is 0.3.1+svnr67-r1.4 kernel is 2.6.29-rc3 (both are
the latest release from shr-u). it's not been working since i got the
new shr-u, about dec 20th
