As far as I know, the FR doesn't have the electronics to wake up from
full power down unless you press the power button.
So, that looks like the expected behavior to me.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no RTC chip still working when
the FR is powered down... although it would be a very welcome feature,
if the pre-shutdown configuration would be possible.. :)

shr-unstable, latest updates from sunday morning nz time. i've
made
very few changes bar installing a few packages, i think all
stuff from
the shr repos though.
ffalarms version is 0.3.1+svnr67-r1.4 kernel is 2.6.29-rc3
(both are
the latest release from shr-u). it's not been working since i
got the
new shr-u, about dec 20th
