Hi
Newcomer so forgive me if any of these comments are being addressed.
This was a first time trial of shr-u.
A) GSM anteena could not be powered up so unable to trial these functions. This
was attempted before any suspend occurred if this is relevant
B) Cannot set time. Date was set thorough GPS any attempt to move to GMT +5.5
is ignored. Before setting the date thorough use of GPS it was possible to set
the time but no apparent means available to set the date. Q. Is there a means
to specify GMT +/- something?
C)Calculator functionality is good. Suggest the key legends are made much much
larger!! almost the size of the key, like in the dialer, would be perfect
D)The display in black of 'contacts diaker messages' not a good idea. It
spoils the look of illume maain menu, even obscuring icons, when there are
already icons for these functionalities
E) After responding to screen points on initial load the touch screen became
unusual! Suggestion provide a test and if OK cannot be activated in the centre
of a test screen within 10 secs return to previous settings. As things stand
although i can SSH to the device i don't know how to access this problem so
necessitated a complete reload.
F) I had a complete failure of touchpad entry. The cicumstances were that
before returning to the illume main menu i changed the 'keyboard' settings
however when the main illume menu returned the lower portion was overwritten
still by the keyboard. Suggest this is display of a keyboard is automatically
dropped on this main menu ( or anything else for that matter) . Anyhow all
entry was locked on the entire screen. Even shutdown could not be activated.
This necessitated removal of battery.
G) tangoGPS works very well indeed. Just one Q having asked for NM it still
gave a mixture of kms knots & nautical miles! How to switch to say KM or Miles
once a selection has been made?

Now one question if somebody could give an answer pls: If partitions on mSD are
made in FAT and ext2/3 what parameters are used by shr when formatting?

Regards,

David.
