My black-screens had this, too.
Are you running SHR from internal flash (NAND)? It was suggested on the list
that boot from cd card does not suffer this problem. In my case, this was
true.
The day before yesterday I installed SHR-U on sd card and never experienced a
black screen ever since.
I'm booting off an SD card. :-( Anyway I'll try different SD or
install into NAND.
