That's a good idea, but I think the critical question here is: what the heck is pulling a different VT anyway?!
If we know which program is switching the VTs, then we can fix it.
Was it always like this, and some new different timings now allow that program to pull up the empty VT _after_ the Xorg has pulled its own? Or is it something new, some new program that wasn't there before and now competes with Xorg for the screen?

If we add vtX to the Xorg command we can decide on which VT the Xserver is shown. So if it's only the same VT we can workaround that issue like that.
