You can try, but I am not sure it will help. Linux systems don't tend
to deteriorate with time, so a "fresh install" tend to be no better
than something old. And vice-versa. (Unlike windows, I have heard that
it somehow "goes bad" with time - which seems strange to me.)
There are few more issues which come with image age.
1) Badly merged config when opkg says that new config is
different and user should merge it with his own.
that's the particular one i had in mind, but thanks for outlining some of
the others. (2) in particular had escaped me.
helge, thank you for the terminal focus workaround. sadly it doesn't yet
solve my major problem, which is restarting shr_elm_softkey without an
attached linux box - because i can't switch focus until shr_elm_softkey
is working!
