Strange, you have those problems even with fresh image after reflash?
just for test I reflashed with:
shr-lite-eglibc-ipk--20100507-om-gta02.rootfs.ubi
and Xorg is running fine

you can "debug" Xsession scripts by starting only Xorg
 /usr/bin/Xorg -br -pn -dpi 280 -nocursor
and then running Xsession.d scripts with:
source some_script
and if it quits your current shell (better to have it in screen window
while running Xorg in another), then it's bad Xsession script and should
be fixed (as omnewrotate and xinput calibration was).
