This [1] conf is more than fast enough on my FR, with latest SHR-U 2.6.32
kernel and 242 glamo timings.
Simply uncompress it on your ~/.navit, and that's all. Obviously, you should
modify "maps.xml".

Modified from SHR default:

- 3D view with autozoom and autofollow (you don't have to wait until car is out
of the visible map). If you prefer 2D view, simply change pitch from "20" to
"0".
- Smaller, better positioned and translucent "speed" and "next turn" boxes
- White text over black background for more contrast
- Fullscreen button
- Deactivated auto "car dark" layout. It was activated at 18:30 or 19:00, and
in Spain we have daylight until 22:30 on the summer.

To do:

- Modify car icon colour and size. Default small blue is easily "lost" over the
blue route.
- Change speech language voice (but it's only if you are not english speaker).

P.S. Latest navit versions are far faster than older ones. I don't know which
version is in shr-t feeds, but it could make a difference...
