Are you sure?  What if you haven't done an opkg update for a while, and
the version that's available in the feed is different from what's on
your phone now?

I think so, yes.  My /etc/shr-version says:

I've put it up at http://www.ossau.uklinux.net:8000/~neil/ipk.  On my
system, the version that was there before had the Git hash
b5322e28774e49f5cdfdb8fbfe985d35f86bc0d1 in it.  So if your current
installed packages have that version... I would guess the replacement is
more likely to work than if they don't.
