Hi everybody,

this is my first post to this list. I´ve been using SHR on the Openmoko
FreeRunner when I had one, and even though I wasn´t totally happy with it and
had some doubts about something called "Stable" and being largely built around
unstable software, I would really like to try it on my Palm Pre.

First of all, I would like to know about the current status of SHR on the Pre -
I had a look at scap [1] and while some screenshots suggested that phone calls
may work with SHR (reception bars), others don´t - therefore I am bit confused.
Then I would like to know whether the installation instructions on the SHR wiki
are up to date, I saw that there were some major edits some time ago which were
then removed again - that´s why I am confused.

BTW: While I find instructions about the Pre and the Pre Plus, I don´t find any
about SHR on the Pre Plus (which is my primary phone right now)...

One more, not that important question: What´s the actual name of the baseband
processor built in the Pre? I am pretty sure it is a Qualcomm one (libmsmcomm),
but I wasn´t able to find out which one (MSM62xx) - is it a MSM6246?
I would like to know that because I have an old LiMo compliant phone here, a
Samsung GT-i8320 (TI OMAP 3430, QC MSM 6290, WVGA AMOLED, capacative
touchscreen, [2]) and would like to know how much work would be necessary to
get

a usable port of SHR running on that thing [3] (<-- my blog, btw).

Kind regards,

Peter
