At one of the web presentations of Fortran 10 they promised that the 
bugs were fixed in Fortran 10 and that even -O3 should not affect the 
calculation results.

I've got the advice to use -O3 with
-fp-model precise and -fp-model source
and see if numerics are stable and faster than -O2
